Life is what can happen between coffee & wine. I personally think, this quote sums it up, at least when we are fully focusing on the sunny and fun side of it. Life is a row of moments we all are creating and sharing. And life is also what happens while we´re busy making other plans. Having a cup or a glass in between might do us good.
That´s what a friend of mine and me did before the lovely summer´s approaching. Honestly, I am so happy summer´s finally here. It just feels like recharging batteries truly. Continue reading “I have got Notes for you!”
Today I wanna introduce you two coffeespots I once discovered during my summer stay in London. This post is about two spots because they are kind of next to each other – but I did not discover both of them on the same day. Weird, but possible 😉 Well, one of them is hidden pretty well actually, so I might start with this one.
Maybe some of you have heard about the colourful little corner near Covent Garden called Neal´s Yard in London. To be honest, it felt like being on a tiny street corner which could be next to Disney Land or something. It is sooo colourful and cute you cannot imagine. You have to pass a very narrow street in order to get there, but then you´ll see some cute cafés, restaurants and shops. It is not touristy at all, that´s the good thing. Probably because it is so difficult to find 🙂
There you go with some pictures of the café called Salad Pride which is gluten free and vegan by the way. So, very healthy! :p I just had an iced latte – really needed that because it was such a hot day.
Okay so far so good. The next spot I´d like to mention here is called Monmouth. It is even smaller than the first café but totally worth to visit! Be careful, you might not notice the café because the street is really short and there are plenty of shops, so better keep your eyes and your coffee nose open 🙂
The day I visited Monmouth was probably a Sunday because it was extremely busy. It felt like queuing for something for free. Therefore I just took a coffee to take away in order to avoid the crowded tables and stuff. Anyways it felt nice being surrounded by many coffeelovers and people who take the coffee preparation very seriously. I ordered a flat white – what else when I am in London, right? Actually it was quite strong but that did not bother me at all. Unfortunately I did not manage to take a photo of the flat white, shame on me I know..but I promise next time I´ll do that for sure. Then you might get five shots of the same coffee, just the perspective will differ, no kidding :p
Hope you enjoy the few pictures I took anyways. They are mostly from the outside and well, if you pay attention to the last one….maybe you see a cup there 😉 Of course I do not forget to put my coffee in a great spotlight! 😀 Enjoy & have a lovely start into the new week!
